| Self Description | | Am I'm sensitive yet direct, compassionate yet strong, funny but not not annoying? This is the hope, but just when I think that I've got it down perfectly, it's that perfection that sends me back to the confessional! Ok, let's try this a different way.
I'm a devout Catholic man (i.e. not a boy ... ok, but maybe some boyish charm), and I usually attend daily Mass, go to Eucharistic Adoration nearly as often and pray the Rosary daily. I find this keeps me grounded and helps me to see the best in other people. So, is the glass half full or 50% empty? For what it's worth, I'm just glad I have the glass.
I am an easy-going professional who has never been married, never cohabited, and do not have any children. On first impressions, I suspect that I come off as a little shy (and maybe I am...shhh), although I am confident and light-hearted. I've even been accused of being goofy...once or thrice. In my spare time, I enjoy activities with family and friends, projects around the house, keeping my car spiffy-clean, and going to new restaurants and places. I have been involved in music a number of different ways including the contemporary choir at church, as a musician on a number of Christian CDs, and as a member of one of the first Alternative/Rock Catholic bands around (our CD won best rock album of year at the Canadian Gospel Music Awards a few years back).
I believe that faith in God and His Church makes a world of difference where the ordinary becomes "not ordinary". Things like weekends and vacations are great, but I don't want to wish most of my life away waiting for the mountain-top experiences. Most of life is lived in the "ordinary" times and so I try to recognize all of the little miracles in every-day life (Mass & Adoration help a lot). This is where my Catholic faith has formed an important part of who I am as it gives me a very positive view on life and a source of strength. I may not be bungee jumping out of helicopters or entering the Eco-Challenge, but I am stable and know how to make the best of whatever situation I'm in. God is good, all the time.
So who am I looking for? Well, are you ready to step up to the plate of marital bliss and endless happiness?
