| Self Description | | I am a recovering alcoholic 19 + years . I am of Irish, polish desent.I am divorced. I am a father of one son and have three grandchildren. I am a union construction superintendant with a company in Hartford. I live in my house in Eastford. I have recently joined St.Joesphs church in Rockville. I attend church in Ashford, Rockville or Ellington depending upon where and what I happen to be doing when I want to go.I grew up in Ellington and went to St. Lukes, some of my family still goes there.Some of my family and some good friends belong to St. Joesphs in Rockville, so sometimes I go there.I also go to St. Phillips in Ashford near my house in Eastford.I have many intrests camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, movies, dining out, cross country sking, horse back riding just to mention a few.I have done alot of home improvement.I can do allmost any type of construction.I do electrical, plumbing, H.V.A.C, carpentry, masonary, painting.I also do landscaping, tree work, escavation.I love my tractor! I love the A.A program the most I am very active in every aspect of the program. I have a very large network of friends there.I am interested in getting to know a woman who is in a recovery program. One who has been in recovery for some years who has an active sponsor and is step oriented.Also who is involved with program people outside of the rooms.I also like to spend time in Florida where my parents live. I am very close to my parents as a matter of fact I am close to all my family members.I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters.I also have 3 God daughters in wich I stay involved with.I also spend alot of time in Maine.I am a registerd Democrat, but conservative in many ways I do not believe in gay marrige or anything gay.I do not believe in abortion, except in rape cases.I dont believe in gun control either. I think of myself as being fairly compassonate, understanding, giving, generous and kind hearted I try to be open minded as long as it does not coflict with what the bible teaches.I also try not be judgemental as long as it does not conflict with what the bible teaches.I enjoy spending time with family and friends.I love children.I am crazy about my grandchildren Amy 9, Jack 8, Peter 1.Amy named after my sons best friend from St. Joesphs school.Jack who is named after his great, great grandfather who lived to see him! Peter who was named after Peter the apostle! I am told that I have agood sense of humor.I have found out that GOD has a great sense of humor. He is probably getting a kick out of me doing this, |
