I have chosen the user name firefly2k7 because I feel like a firefly sometimes. I live in Iowa & look forward to seeing them come out with their tiny little flicker in the darkenss on a warm summer night. They remind me of Jesus who dispelled the darkness of this world because He is The Light Of The World. He is our light and our hope for salvation.
My personality is also some like a firefly--I can be both quiet & to myself--not shining for a period of time--or outgoing giving a spark of light to a situation--Maybe by sharing a funny email I got with someone who has no computer--buying a toy for a child--Taking someone out for shopping & groceries so they don't have to call a cab--When the neighbors are gathered outside--bringing out a pan of fudge for all to pitch into & enjoy--Making a fuzzy for someone who loved the one they saw me wearing--There are so many ways we can all be a firefly to others.
I also enjoy family, parish & community activities & most spectator sports.
Have a son & daughter & a daughter-in-law
& son-in-law who are very good to me--five granddaughters 1 grandson.
Enjoy creative writing, sewing, cooking & baking--whenever I can find someone to test my new recipes on. Also enjoy some crafts--Have a flock of baby chicks to make for friends & family for Easter--Little children just love them.
Love animals. Every pet has lived a long happy life and were all spoiled rotton. With no fence, have no pets at the present but would like to adopt and spoil a rescue shelter dog.
Living the Catholic Christian lifestyle is a joy. I love to go to Mass early and just sit in the Eucharistic presence of Jesus before Mass begins. My faith is important to me & I would want someone with the same values.
