| Self Description | | Hello! I have an upbeat, positive, sensitive, caring, faith-filled attitude. Laugh easily, smile a lot, family oriented, and a nurturer, a dreamer but my feet are planted firmly on the ground. I am lively, bright, educated, and love to tease the ones I care about with a joke or remark! I love being around children and think they are a blessing. I definitely wouldn't mind adopting/helping parent/fostering any children. I am very lucky to be an aunt and godmother to several nieces and nephews.
I could write a lot about my walk in faith (and I would be happy to share) but it's sufficient to say here that I am Ukrainian Catholic (Eastern Rite, in communion with Rome). I had a traditional Eastern Catholic upbringing but attended Roman Catholic schools so feel comfortable in both Churches. So what does that all mean? I attend the liturgy, I pray daily and say the rosary. You can see me sing in the church choir and participate in parish activities.
My musical tastes are constantly changing but mainly are classical, 50-60's oldies, Celtic and Ukrainian folk music. Love going to concerts, museums and plays. Admit to liking old radio shows especially those comedy and mystery shows. Enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee at the local caf? and listening to local Celtic musicians jam. Like slow dance. I've always had the travel bug and have traveled to a few places on my 'wish list? ? still have many to go! My favorites so far: Rome/Italy, Ukraine, Ireland, Disney, Las Vegas, Phila., DC. Right now, local trips in the area are my favorite kind of vacation. Cooking and baking are favorite pastimes and I've become my family's designated baker for all the traditional holiday baking. Think torte! One of my new hobbies is to try to compile a cookbook of family favorite recipes. Just recently I have 'volunteered? to help teach my oldest nephew how to cook. Now this should be an adventure. Professionally, I work as a medical librarian in a Catholic hospital and run the library. Nope, I do not have a bun and do not SHH people (well, not often. LOL) Being a librarian is not my whole life. |
