| Self Description | | Hello! I am upbeat, positive, sensitive, caring, have a faith-filled attitude. I laugh easily, and like to put people at ease. Smile a lot, family oriented, am a unique blend of old-fashioned and independent (when I have to be.) In the good old days, they probably would have called me spunky. LOL Definitely a nurturer, a dreamer but my feet are planted firmly on the ground. I am lively, bright, educated and I care deeply about my family and friends. I love being around children and think they are a blessing. Kids are drawn to me and as I tell my nieces and nephews, "I am their favorite Auntie." LOL
Music is like food for the soul. I listen to music a lot. My tastes are constantly changing as I discover new favorites but the basics are classical and folk music. I discovered a radio station here that plays old radio shows especially comedy and mystery shows which I listen to a lot - very cool. Some evenings you can find me chilling out at my favorite coffee shop. Enjoy cooking and baking. I do a lot of traditional baking for the holidays for my family.
I live in a small city now but have lived in several metro areas around the country. I love to travel - something about seeing how other people live, trying new foods, trying out new languages (ok, my accent is really, really bad LOL but I try anyways), finding that out of the way spot that no one else has discovered (right). Whether it's seeing more of the States or Canada, or further out (India, China, Italy, Greece, and a bunch more), life is a daily adventure to me. I adapt well to wherever I am living.
Professionally, I work in a small Catholic hospital as a librarian. My time is occupied running the library and doing research for the medical staff, residents and students. |
