| Self Description | | I retired from the Marine Corps in 1997. I spent 21 years on active duty, as a pilot. In 1995, I was shot in the leg. In July of 1997, my left leg amputated below the knee.
I like to laugh, and make others laugh too. A friend told me that "happiness is an inside job"; with me it's a continuous work in progress.
I'm a VERY happy man!
Financially secure.
My taste in music is very eclectic. I enjoy intimacy; sharing hopes, disappointments, emotions, faith.
I like to travel. I like the arts (theater, opera, concerts, museums, symphony, and movies) and attending sporting events.
I like to feel that my partner is intellectually stimulating. I have a healthy Spiritual Life. I rarely miss Mass. I am looking for a slender woman who enjoys staying fit, and is romantic.
How do you feel about: sunrises, sunsets, the mountains, the beach, a weekend at a fancy resort hotel, a weekend camping at a mountain lake?
Do you like thunderstorms & snowstorms, driving in the snow (looking at Christmas lights), laughing, doing jigsaw puzzles in front of the fireplace on a gray day, sipping on a glass of wine?
I'm neither a challenge nor an enigma. I'm a normal guy who has had some very interesting, exciting and challenging experiences.
A motivation that drives me through life is "Intimacy". This does not mean just physical intimacy. I like connection - the sharing of rich, deep emotions that bind people together. I will often sacrifice a great deal of time, effort, and/or personal convenience to develop and maintain meaningful life-long relationships.
I am incredibly loyal to friends, and, above all, to my "significant other". Whatever or whomever I commit to is my sole (or soul) focus. I love to serve and will give freely of myself in order to nurture the lives of others.
My code of ethics is strong and I expect others (not only my partner and those closest to me, but everyone) to live honest, committed lives as well. I enjoy sharing meaningful moments in conversation with my partner as well as remembering special life events (e.g. birthdays and anniversaries).
