| Self Description | | I am intelligent, can sing and dance (though I am not great), published writer (hope high school newspaper counts), not bad cook, working hard at being able to keep up with good comebacks, street smart (kinda...a middle school teacher has to know a little), loves books, intuitive, has morals, respect, ethics, dignity, likes billiards (though I am not good but I get lucky occasionally), love cards and board games, walking and hiking, popcorn and a movie, thunderstorms (when I am with someone special), there's nothing better than a good steak, have to have chocolate more than just occasionally, kissin' huggin' holdin' hands and ...with the right person, God is a constant in my life, and my mom I miss her everyday of my life.
I was married for almost 20 years. I have 2 kids, 19 and 14, only the 14 year old lives at home right now but my daughter is moving back home in a few days. I have been working hard at getting into shape and plan on never retreating back to my old ways. No tattoos and only pierced ears (which I only got 2 years ago). Not one to sit at home all the time, though I do enjoy my home with nights of doing absolutely nothing, watching a good movie, or spreading out in the living room playing games and cards.
I want to enjoy life as it comes and not expect too much from anyone. This is hard for me because I want others to treat me as I would treat them. That's high standards to live up to. I'm not afraid to say I want it all, because I do. I feel if I meet the right person we will both know it. I love kissing and think a kiss tells a lot about a person. I am happy with who I am and what I have accomplished in my life. I have a good job and don't need someone to take care of me. I have always taken care of myself and my family very well. I am independent but want and crave someone in my life that even though I can take care of myself wants to take care of me anyway. Someone who is just as crazy about me as I am about him. The one person who can't wait to see/touch me again. I want the song "What a Beautiful Mess I'm in". (I think that's the name of it.) That person would be honest, loyal, kind and understanding. We have all made mistakes in our life and I don't think anyone should be totally judged by what we have done in the past. I still make mistakes and sometimes these come out of caring to much. I feel the need to talk things through no matter what...this usually gets me in trouble...I want to know what I do right and what I do wrong so I can try not to make the same mistakes again. If you are the type of person who is going to just not call me again after a few dates where it seems we hit it off, please don't write me. I can deal with rejection, but I have a hard time with not knowing what happened. I know this all sounds weird but I am too old to play games. I am not hiding that I am looking for long term..It is definitely what I want! I don't know about getting married again...I want someone to stay with me and always try to work things out because they know I am so worth it, not because there is a piece of paper holding us together. This does not mean I will never get married again...it just means at this time I just don't see it.

A first date...surprises are the best dates...although you want to be able to talk and get to know someone...sometimes activities help you find out how that person reacts to all situations. My favorite first date was to the high school ROTC Navy Ball I chaperoned. It was really cool! But I lost my glass slipper and prince charming hasn't tried to return it. Maybe you found it instead and are really the prince I have been looking for. |
